Boise is so unexpectedly cool that I was excited about all the things to see and do. Besides, it is very friendly so as a solo traveler I like this place. First, head downtown to Freak Alley to see lots of cool street art. Just around the corner is Guru Donuts with Vegan Options and Lemon Tree Co. with delicious sandwiches and salads. As the sun sets, head to Camel Park or even Bagus Basin for even better views.

In case you’re wondering, the drive between Boise and Stanley, just a few hours away, is breathtaking and Stanley is a lovely little town. Often referred to as the American Riviera, Santa Barbara has a lot to offer travelers. From the trendy funk area and shopping on State Street to relaxing on the beautiful beaches and strolling along the pier, there are tons of things to do in SB. Try one of the mountain hikes, such as the 7 waterfalls or Lizard’s Mouth, or climb to the ruins of Knapp Castle on top of the hill to admire the picturesque sunset.

Six miles east of Santa Cruz is a lovely sleepy town on Capitola Beach. Its friendliness and charm make it the perfect place for a solo girl’s weekend getaway. The city hosts the Capitola Art and Wine Festival and the Capitola Beach Festival, which runs from mid-September.
