2nd leg of family US trip Stayed here less than a week and recently visited relatives. These two young men lived in the same room, Miss and I had a small child. For some reason I really like hotels/motels on US highways – I find them attractive when built to do a specific job. This was no exception – in fact it was a great place to chat. The rooms were large and clean; The staff were friendly and helpful; And the (small) pool was an unexpected treat. Really good prices: I would stay here again. Why not 5 stars? Although the name of the game is cheap and cheerful, the air conditioning is too high compared to other places we’ve stayed. It didn’t make sleeping through the night (with the baby) any easier.

We brought our group of eighth graders and several foster carers and staff to the Cincinnati area for four days. It was a great place to stay! Our rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, the meeting room was perfect for our needs, and the students loved the pools! The beds were comfortable and there were many delicious breakfast options, so everyone was happy.

This hotel was very clean! The beds were comfortable. The rooms were well equipped. In shower pipes. Remote controls are cleaned and packed in plastic. A neat coffee maker in the room with nice K-cups. The pool was open but not the hot tub on this trip. A hearty breakfast in the morning will satisfy everyone. Stayed here for 3 nights. Will stay again.

Nothing but good things to say about our experience here. Quiet (when we slept), clean room, comfortable bed, air conditioner working well, good breakfast, friendly people. Here’s my caveat, and this opportunity: it looks like a party hotel in a good way. Lots of families, open playgrounds, birthday parties, great sounds of nature. The pool was open and used by several people. We could hear the lobby and common area noise from our room (although it wasn’t loud), but when we got ready to hit the sack around 10:30pm or so, it was quiet and we slept well for the night. . Also, we were at the end of the hotel away from traffic (room 134); Depending on how the hotel is built, rooms on the traffic side of the hotel may experience traffic noise. Overall, our experience was easily 5 star, but for those for whom absolute silence is a premium, you may want to request a room away from traffic and away from reception.

Room Tip: As mentioned above, if quiet is a premium, get a room at the end, away from traffic and away from…

We wrote this HIExpress to relax. The photos on the website look great, including the pool and hot tub. After checking in, on the way to the elevator, we found that the pool and spa were closed and guests were denied access to the area. This should be stated on the website and at check-in. Had we known we would not have stayed at this place. Booked online king with sofa bed for first night. A complimentary upgrade is offered upon arrival. It turned out to be exactly one room… a king with a couch. We always ask for a quiet room and the front door awning was right next to the elevator at the front of the building. Noise level is bad. Loud noise of interstate highways in front of the building, and the screeching sound of trucks using jake brakes to slow down at the interstate exit in front of the building. In the middle of the night you are woken up by a car alarm going off in a car parked under an awning. Suppose the battery runs out before someone sets off the alarm. Not a good hotel for a restful night’s sleep or relaxation. Mask and gloves during breakfast with quality HIE options. Cheese omelets were rubbery, but a cinnamon roll for toasty under the lights. The grill and bar across the street had a good selection of food.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel for less highway noise. Step off the elevator and… Looking for a fun and affordable family vacation near Columbus? Enjoy water activities for the price of a hotel room at the Comfort Inn Splash Harbor in Bellville, about an hour from Columbus.

My family was invited to see the Comfort Inn Splash Harbor two years ago, and our kids had such a great time! Not only did our kids love staying in the hotel rooms, there was also an indoor water park right outside our window!

It’s great not having to worry about the weather or applying sunscreen, making for the perfect vacation all year round.

The day we arrived we drove 15 minutes to Mansfield for a few hours at Little Buckeye Children’s Centre.

This children’s museum is aimed at children aged 2-10 and there is plenty to do for kids! Our kids could have spent all day there without getting bored!

After leaving the museum, we walked a short distance to Richland Carousel Park for a few laps on the beautiful hand-carved carousel. Ride tickets are only $1 and don’t get cheaper the more you buy.

With 52 posts and a few benches for riding, we were able to get on and off despite having 4 birthday parties at the park.carousel. Masks may be required; See link for details.

This unique restaurant offers comfort food served in a vintage train car, as well as outdoor seating with a children’s playground. Come hungry as there is plenty of food!

After lunch we went to the hotel to check in and swim! We hadn’t told the kids what to expect so they were really excited to see the big pool area! After getting everything ready in the room, we changed our clothes and went to the pool.

The pool is located in the courtyard of the hotel and half of the hotel’s rooms face the rooms and half face the outside. Our room window overlooked the pool which was great for our kids and a great way to see how busy the pool was at any given time. Don’t worry – there are 2 layers of blinds to ensure complete privacy when you close.

Even though the pool was open until 10pm it wasn’t too noisy for our little ones to sleep. You can also request a room on the other side of the hall if you are concerned about noise.

Four water park passes are included in all room rates and provide you with a tablecloth to wear by the pool. Mom’s tip: If your baby messes up the wrap, wrap it around his ankle.

Our room was clean, standard size with 2 queen beds. The room has a 32 inch TV, mini fridge, microwave, desk and in-room safe. There was plenty of room to pack-n-play.

There is also a coffee machine in the room but skip it and go to the lobby for your coffee where they serve hot food.
