The 12 Best Coffee Shops In Leeds

It’s full of recommendations from independent cafes, pubs and restaurants, as well as lots of recipes, cooking tips and stories from my favorite establishments and chefs.

The Tiled Hall Cafe is one of my favorite places in Leeds to finish work or have a cup of tea and cake with a friend. Located in the same building as Leeds Central Library and Leeds Art Gallery, the space originally served as a reading room for the library.

High ceilings and lots of light create a spacious, airy environment, while huge marble columns, thousands of colorful tiles and gold details on the ceiling make the space feel like a room in a castle as one of Leeds’ coffee shops. There are a few brown leather couches, but I like to sit by the window while I work, taking advantage of the natural light and the world outside. . The only downside is that the toilets are in the library and it’s a great way to get there!

There are a few things I love about IF Coffee-Bar: the breakfast burritos (they’re the perfect antidote to dinner and will keep you going all day), the beautiful decor with lots of plants, the variety of seating (more on that in a minute), the friendly staff and a nice glass of Prosecco if you don’t feel like drinking coffee or celebrating a hard day’s work!

The space is amazing – you can enjoy the buzz of the cafe, take advantage of the many communication points and natural light at the front, relax in the cozy ‘subs’ in the back or go upstairs. Tables and a good view of Call Lane. IF Coffee-Bar is definitely one of the best coffee shops in Leeds and let me warn you: they do bottomless breakfast too!

Mrs Atha’s is a Leeds-based coffee shop focused on using quality products with a traceable provenance. The coffee is great and the sandwiches are even better!
