Best Caravan Park In Broken Hill – …,” people commented. Sorry guys, but they got it wrong. Broken Hill is amazing!! Will write soon…
While visiting Broken Hill, we stayed at Lake View Caravan Park, another member of the Family Park Group. The holiday started off great with a cheerful Amy greeting us at reception and the girls quietly tending to the ice cream fridge as we said:
Best Caravan Park In Broken Hill
All pitches at Lake View Caravan Park are 9 meters long and very accessible. This is always great news for us with the largest rig at 24′. We settled in easily and quickly set out to explore the park and downtown Broken Hill within easy walking distance. Location, location!

The whole family enjoyed the great showers, plenty of room to jump in, shower, dry off and get dressed in one place (that’s what a mom dreams of when traveling with kids!) The water pressure was awesome and we all had fun. Best rain ever on our adventure…I could have stayed there all day! As tourists, we only ask for clean and well-maintained facilities and this park provides that and more.
There are two indoor camp kitchens with everything you need and a ping pong table which we all had. The girls played a bit and then told me about Wayne and my fierce competition. It was too cold to swim, but upstream was a simple pool with a great view that the whole family could enjoy at the right time of year. The girls occupied a small playground and made it their own. There is more than enough to do here during the year. If it rains during your stay (as it does), be prepared for dirt and mud underfoot. If you know wet weather is in the forecast, be sure to pack your boots!
Interestingly, Lake View Caravan Park has a solar panel installation that I love! It’s great to see caravan parks doing their bit to save energy and make tourism in their area more eco-conscious.
Broken Hill was loved by caravanning families and their children. Lake View Caravan Park is a great place to stay and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Quiet, clean and lots to do, we recommend Broken Hill and Lake View Caravan Park are worth a visit! Broken Hill Visitor Park is centrally located so you can experience all that our beautiful backcountry region has to offer. We are close to all major attractions, including our much-photographed “Living Desert Sculptures”, in the heart of the city – 3 km from the city’s Tourist Information Center and 1.5 km from Centro Westside Square.
