The 2,000-foot-long beach leads to a shallow, sandy beach with clear water, making it a great beach for families and children. There are also changing rooms, boat hire and a barbeque area. Another state park to check out is Emerald Lake State Park. The park features a 20-acre Emerald Lake, named for the color of the water. The beach is perfect for swimming with beautiful views of the mountains and forests, and fishing and motorboating are allowed in the lake. There are also hiking, biking and walking trails.
